You all know by now how much I love 70’s fashion and music, so this dress won’t be a surprise! Fabric from the 70’s, the pattern was printed in 1969 and had not even been unfolded until two days ago!
This is a tunic dress (no zip or buttons) made in a slightly stretchy manmade fibre fabric. I’d say it is a UK 10-12, actual measurements are 35″ bust, 36.5″ waist and 38″ hip.
I think it looks best worn slightly loose and cinched in at the waist with a belt (the one in the pic isn’t included as it is mine 🙂 )
I can’t recreate this dress due to fabric being true vintage – I’m selling it for £40 plus postage. ***2 years ago I was given 5 large bags of sewing patterns ranging from the 1930’s to the present day.
The lady who gave them to me used to be a designer and maker for the British Royal Family. As she gave them to me she said “I want you to have these, you will make a name for yourself one day”. So here I am, slowly making a name for myself in the field of vintage fashion***
